I don't feel bad at all for JD Vance's wife, she's a dead-eyed Yale striver who wants this as bad as him and made a conscious choice to put on the populism skinsuit. But I do feel kinda bad for his kids. No matter how insulated, imagine being a brown kid named Vivek and that being your dad.

They set the reconciliation baseline to make the tax cuts look deficit neutral on paper when they clearly weren’t. Which I guess you could say is technically going nuclear since they wouldn’t be able to use reconciliation otherwise
