The picture shows a low setting sun with golden rays just going behind a distant tree line. The sky itself is a mixture of greys yellows, pinks, orange and golden tones.

The clouds are scattered and radiate from dark to light to the top of the picture with a light blue sky hiding behind them.

A flourish of autumn crocus fills the frame, their violet petals delicate and drenched in morning dew, radiating a gentle opulence. Each bloom reveals vivid orange anthers, elegantly poised against the lush green backdrop and earthy textures. The abundance of blossoms creates an impression of natural luxury, as their presence enlivens the garden scene with a vivid burst of color and seasonal grace.

Good morning everyone, after your hair raising stories for #Myth&Legend yesterday I had a pretty rocky night, so I’m taking it slowly today. 😉 Have a relaxing day you all.

A ghostly moon glows behind swirling shadows of cloud, its pale light barely piercing the ominous night sky. Wisps of darkness drift across the bright lunar face, lending the scene an eerie, haunting silence.
Nights like this make falling asleep nearly impossible, as restless thoughts and the eerie glow seem to keep the mind wide awake. The lack of sleep leaves a sense of irritability and fatigue the next day, haunting both mood and energy.

Ooo l missed this one and it’s a beautiful shot Sabine, very nice indeed ☺️👍🏼

Castle walls shaped by legend: Burg Eisenhardt, said to have been built by giants, still stands strong above Bad Belzig (Germany) where myths echo through every stone.
#PalacesAndGardens theme #Myth&Legend #photography
#PhotographersOfBluesky
#EastCoastKin
The view of Burg Eisenhardt in Bad Belzig reveals a formidable stronghold rising majestically from its hilltop perch.

Long ago, before the world took its familiar shape, the land of Fläming was wild, untamed, and ruled by three colossal giants. These were no ordinary beings, but titans whose footsteps thundered like rolling thunder, and whose breath stirred the winds that whispered through the ancient forests.

It is said that in those distant days, the giants roamed the valleys and hills, their great hands shaping the earth itself. When the time came to protect the land from shadowy dangers lurking beyond, the giants joined forces to build mighty fortresses. With stone as heavy as mountains and walls thick enough to withstand the fury of storms, they raised three castles, Eisenhardt, Wiesenburg, and Rabenstein.

But the castle of Eisenhardt grew faster than the others. Why? Because it lay closest to the giants’ feet, and with every powerful stomp, the ground beneath it was pressed, hardened, and infused with their iron will. They guarded it fiercely, their shadows cast long and dark across the valleys.
On nights when the moon is swallowed by clouds, some say you can still hear the deep pounding echoes, giant footsteps resounding far and wide, as if the ancient protectors have not yet left.
But beware, those footsteps are no mere memory. They tell of a power that waits silently, a promise etched in stone and flesh: that when the land is threatened, the giants may rise once more, storming from the mists to defend their realm.

Will you be brave enough to walk the castle grounds alone when the wind chills your bones and shadows draw near? For the giants may be sleeping, but their legend still breathes, a giant’s heartbeat, slow but steady, beneath the earth itself…

Forgot to say Good morning in my first post so 👋. For #FlyDay I’m going with a Curlew flying low and fast over water on the shores of Lough Foyle. #birds #photography #EastCoastKin
A curlew flies low over a sandy shoreline, its long, curved bill pointing forward and patterned brown-and-cream wings outstretched in smooth flight. The blurred blue waves and wet sand beneath create a soft, natural backdrop that highlights the bird’s graceful form.

My cohost Rob @robcrank68.bsky.social has announced #BirdOfTheDay is 'Juveniles/Chicks'

I’m going with a juvenile Robin at the risk of being repetitive. Love them.

Sadly due to the popularity of BOTD we can't reply to all Contributors
We hope you understand. Thank you. 🙏

Good morning #BlueSky ☕️ To celebrate Tuesday’s wonderful #TheCampfire I knocked up some of my Campfire stew. Tuck in my friends & have a great day ☺️ #FoodOnFriday #EastCoastKin #-Photography #PhotographyOfBlueSky #PhotographersOfBlueSky #FoodOfBlueSky #HomeMade #Ireland #CampfireStew #Tasty #Friday
The picture shows a steaming bowl of my homemade Campfire stew which made in my kitchen here in Ireland.

A black bowl sits upon a black kitchen counter top with our stew hot from the pot. It’s filled with generous chunks of beautiful pink bacon, cream coloured boiled potatoes, onions, luscious chopped red bell peppers, tomatoes, chopped carrots all in a rich light brown sauce infused by slow cooking over flame.

It’s tasty, rich and packed with flavour right down to the last spoonful. Our dish is centre frame, in sharp focus with the rest of the kitchen in soft focus to emphasise our main subject.

And finally, our picture is in colour with a white, thin border frame.

Enjoy and please go back a few days to Tuesday and check out the hashtag #TheCampfire for some wonderful stories that are beautiful written by incredible people.

'Shoreline Stories'

Whitby's West Cliff Beach

#EastCoastKin #Photography #ColorADay #YellowThu #Travel #HumansOfBlueSky #PhotographersofBluesky #BlueSkyPhotography #BlueskyArt #Nature #Minimal
A person is shown crouching on a wide, sandy beach facing out to sea but staring into the phone in their hand. The figure, dressed in what appears to be a grey or dark suit jacket and trousers with black shoes, is positioned low to the ground near the water's edge, their back slightly turned towards the viewer. Their head is bowed, and they are looking down at photos on their mobile.
The beach itself is a vast expanse of light brown, wet sand, marked with subtle undulations and moisture from the receding waves. The colour of the sand transitions from a darker, saturated brown near the water to a lighter, drier yellowy tone further up the shore.
The ocean occupies the upper half of the frame, its surface a series of parallel, gentle waves. The foamy white crests of these waves create a natural, flowing pattern across the water, their lines running from the left to the right side of the image. The water is a soft, muted tone, reflecting the overcast sky and appearing in shades of light brown, gray, and off-white.
The overall composition is serene and somewhat contemplative, with the solitary figure as the focal point. The image has a soft, muted colour palette, dominated by earthy tones of brown and grey, with the bright white foam of the waves providing contrast. The perspective is from above, looking down at the person and the beach, which emphasises the vastness of the natural environment and the smallness of the human figure within it. The lighting is soft and diffused, indicative of an overcast day. The scene evokes a sense of quiet solitude and introspection.
