My small hometown has a group fundraising for phone cards for ICE detainees at the local jail. It would be awesome if we could surprise them with a bomb of support. Please give what you can and/or RT this post. givebutter.com/AbideSteGen

A Geese Song Played During The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Move aside, turkey — there’s a new fowl in town this Thanksgiving. In a brief moment during NBC’s livestream of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this morning, the network played a snippet of Geese’s...

I feel much safer today knowing that we deported a Babson College student back to a country where she hasn't lived since childhood.

She wasn't even flying internationally. She was flying to Texas.

My friend's family from Wisconsin visited a while back and they saw "old fashioned" on a cocktail menu and decided to buy a round. They were disappointed to say the least.
Overheard just now: “I’ll have the Old Fashioned—not the Wisconsin one, the good one.”

This Southern propaganda sucks, but it reminds me of good Apple News I neglected to share. WSU Extension was at our conference last week and brought the new Sunflare variety. It’s not available commercially for a couple of years, but it’s magnificent. Yes, it pairs well with Cougar Gold.
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

Ellen Harding Baker (1847-1886) was a US astronomer and teacher, known for her Solar System Quilt, used as a teaching aid in her lectures on astronomy.
She likely began creating the Solar System Quilt in 1876, and it apparently took her until 1883 to complete the project.

I have long posited that Daniel Craig's accent in Glass Onion is better than Knives Out because in Knives Out he is trying to do a real Southern accent and is bad at it but in Glass Onion he is just talking like Foghorn Leghorn, which is something a real gay Southern weirdo would do.

Brandon Clarke only threw 38 innings between Single-A and High-A in 2025 because of blister issues, but two things pop from his data:

His fastball averaged 97.1 mph, up from 94 in his final JuCo year.

His slider had a whiff rate of 63%, per Synergy. It was 63% against LHH and 63% against RHH.
