Yeah the three-year deal is standard and everybody talks about Stammen's lack of coaching and managerial experience. But he's only been retired/working in the FO for two years.
Leapfrogging hanger-ons like Ellis and Craig who've been here since 2019? Must have been doing some *elite* ass kissing.

Just announce a hiring. Don't care who; just make this stop.

The Dodgers unlocking a version of Snell who goes 8 innings with no walks in the playoffs is both entirely predictable and infuriating.
Blake Snell is the first pitcher in postseason history with 10+ strikeouts, 1 or no hits and no walks in an outing of 8+ innings

I've spent two days thinking about this and have come to the following conclusions:
1) I don't understand it.
2) This will somehow still work out for Posey and the Giants.

I'm not saying we need to roast every umpire for every borderline call. But I certainly don't need to hear any announcer provide cover for Estabrook as "more of a low-ball, pitcher-friendly ump" when a ball is on the outer third of the plate and middle of the zone.

Unless this article says they braced his ailing UCL with vibranium and replaced his blood with jet fuel, I'm not buying it.
