Your current managers of the Los Angeles Angels and San Diego Padres ...

Yeah the three-year deal is standard and everybody talks about Stammen's lack of coaching and managerial experience. But he's only been retired/working in the FO for two years.

Leapfrogging hanger-ons like Ellis and Craig who've been here since 2019? Must have been doing some *elite* ass kissing.

At least he's gone as he was doing dubious shit since before day one, but what a cowardly exit for this fucko. www.kpbs.org/news/politic...
Poway Councilmember Tony Blain resigns one day after recall election
An effort to recall Blain had received support from 80% of voters and he’s facing several criminal charges.

This also showed up on SI. Nine word tweet from former deputy under Tim Mead (think he was in the news lately), Angels communication director until '09 - three years before Pujols got there. Superstar athlete may have ego. Huge scoop.

Just announce a hiring. Don't care who; just make this stop.
Please, go on, AI slop factory. That feed is a mess and the site is even worse lol

The Dodgers unlocking a version of Snell who goes 8 innings with no walks in the playoffs is both entirely predictable and infuriating.
Blake Snell is the first pitcher in postseason history with 10+ strikeouts, 1 or no hits and no walks in an outing of 8+ innings

I've spent two days thinking about this and have come to the following conclusions:

1) I don't understand it.
2) This will somehow still work out for Posey and the Giants.

Nick Hundley emerging as front-runner in Giants’ managerial search
It's becoming a widely held expectation the San Francisco job is Hundley's, if he is ready to accept it.

I'm not saying we need to roast every umpire for every borderline call. But I certainly don't need to hear any announcer provide cover for Estabrook as "more of a low-ball, pitcher-friendly ump" when a ball is on the outer third of the plate and middle of the zone.

Unless this article says they braced his ailing UCL with vibranium and replaced his blood with jet fuel, I'm not buying it.
