This is also what happens to pregnant women and their babies when they fall for snake-oil treatments for preeclampsia.

Nature bats last.
The physical world still exists and eventually ideas formed in the mass hallucination chamber of social media will collide with it, even for the people in the grips of the hallucinations. And when that happens a lot of people will die.

there are niche history nerds in every economic class, but most people probably *wouldn't* be wound up about it.

But he's knocking down a third of the building! To build a gold ballroom! With bribe money! Like come on now. Of course people all over the class spectrum are gonna pick up on THAT.

If you read one thing today about public health, make it this one from Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, on the CDC under RFK Jr and how we go forward.

“We should practice detachment from the organizations and focus on the mission. And the mission is the health of the public.”

Last night, at 6:23pm in DC, Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley took the Senate floor. And he held it for 22 hours and 39 minutes, but it wasn’t about that. He wasn’t trying to break a record, even though he did (Longest speech by an Oregonian and third longest in Senate history),

How fucking selfish and irresponsible of Americans to put a notable dotard and criminal who, even at his peak, had a markedly sub-median intellect, in charge of the planet's nuclear destiny.
Alert!! Alert!!

"..president’s deterioration is only disinhibiting his “grandiosity” and “paranoia” and warned that, with the nuclear football in Trump’s possession, “It really would be impossible to overstate the grave risk that all of us are at right now.”

Trump’s Cognitive Collapse Is Clear: Psychologist
The 79-year-old president’s nonsensical speeches and mental lapses are flashing signs of his “immense cognitive decline,” according to Dr. John Gartner.

Every online getting company has exactly the data they need to identify people with gambling problems, and the technology and know-how to maximally enable that problem. They also know exactly how to spot the rare skilled gamblers and ban them from playing. Zero economic value. It's basically theft.

I thought we nuked our own government, ended science, and left millions of people around the world to suffer & starve for “efficiency”?

Oh right, that was some BS cover for just spending however the president wants outside the law. Got it.

Call Mike Johnson's pastor and ask why Mike Johnson is refusing to swear in a representative that would be the 218th vote on a discharge petition to force a vote on releasing the DOJ's full epstein files.

Ask him why Mike Johnson is protecting Jeffrey Epstein's legacy. Ask him if God wants this.
Mike Johnson attends Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, Louisiana. I encourage you to send Pastor John Fream a postcard and ask him to pray that Mike Johnson stops enabling pedophilia. Let’s send tens of thousands of postcards! Overwhelm them. They’ll think it’s a sign.

Apply pressure at source.

The US Navy could easily interdict these vessels.

Destroying them and murdering those on board are extrajudicial killings which do not seem justified based on everything we know about these operations.

Those involved are subject to both US and international criminal liability if this is the case.

Claims these "DTOs are the 'Al Qaeda' of our hemisphere.

Nope.

No armed attack on US like 9/11.

No AUMF.

No armed conflict.

Just more lawless premeditated killing.

Absolutely most of the harm from AI is being caused by people who rationalise their actions by saying something like, or exactly, this

Declare something inevitable, and then set about causing a massive amount of totally avoidable harm
