Transphobes don't need to do all this. I already hate them on the principle of bigotry is wrong, so it wasn't necessary to make it personal. They never needed to come after me to make me hate them. They easily accomplished by going after a marginalized group that wasn't hurting anybody.

The first election I was aware of was 2008, the first I could vote in was 2016. The hyper-racist and fascist GOP is the only GOP I've ever known. All of the talk about going back to the good ol' days of normalcy is referring to a time before I was born. And I'm starting to get gray hairs.
yeah that's the thing. trump is normal for folks born in the early 2000s. he's been the most important person alive for much of their lives, the center of the universe.
Worth noting that for a lot of zoomers, the "Trump isn't normal" language that was trotted out is just plainly not true for them and so I think it just kind of didn't work, but now a lot of them are experiencing Trump for the first time as adults with bills and obligations and they've had enough.
