The thing that makes me feel insane about genAI is that while people are philosophising and splitting hairs and explaining themselves, there's no mention of how it came to exist at all!
It was made by stealing art from artists! Without permission, payment, or credit! It's ethically dead on arrival.

If you think you have every right to persistently misgender a trans person, ask yourself if it's OK to go up to a recovering alcoholic who is five years sober and do nothing but remind them of past drunken spirals at their most suicidal.
