Thank fuck I'm in the assembly and finishing stages of 2/3 of these doublets.

Do I have to make a shitton of piping? Yes.

But at least I can intersperse it with bouts of hand-sewing.

imagine if you were a vampire that lived for 100s of years but you just had a regular guy's memory. Like a normal person. "What was Venice like in the 14th century" Ahhh, I don't...I don't fucking remember. There was a guy, Vincenzo? Maybe that was the 15th century. Wait, did I live in Venice?

Hilary Cass here arguing for children to be prevented from being known by a preferred name or getting a haircut in case it encourages them to continue later in life to transition.

Hilary Cass acts like gender variant children should have the transness hazed out of them.

Every time you speak up - and every time you don't - there are people watching and learning about you and the world you help create.
The drunk uncle theory.

You don’t argue with the casually homophobic uncle at Thanksgiving dinner to change his mind; you argue so that the closeted cousin at the kids table knows there’s safe people and better possibilities out there
agree with this (hah) but also think a particular mistake the left made for a long time online, and still makes to an extent, is failing to understand that the person whose mind you may actually change is the one reading the argument you're having, not the one you're arguing with

Dinner tonight - 'Autumn Glow Grain Bowl' (I didn't name it). Roasted kale and sweet potatoes on quinoa, with apples, pepitos, chopped hazelnuts, crispy onions, bit o' Parm, and a mapley-mustardy dressing. Would make again.

If you are wondering what words the all-male Congress found so "blasphemous" that they felt compelled to literally scrape them off the monument, they were: ''Woman, first denied a soul, then called mindless, now arisen, declared herself an entity to be reckoned.''
On this day in 1921, Congress reluctantly accepted a sculpture memorializing women’s 19th A victory. Congress relegated the memorial to the Capitol’s crypt & painted over the feminist inscription. The statue stayed entombed in the crypt for 76 years. The inscription is still not restored. #WeTheMen

Absolutely ridiculous stuff from both Amtrak and ConnDOT that will ***slow down*** service between New London and New Haven.
Ugh. Like seriously, ugh.

And this is on Amtrak. How much are they overcharging ConnDOT for electricity to make them prefer running diesels?

And this will make Amtrak have to deal with slower, lower performing SLE trains! www.ctinsider.com/connecticut/...
Why Connecticut could pull electric trains off a rail line in favor of diesel
DOT Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto said the return of diesel trains will allow the state to save money without cutting services.

Any of my pals have experience with BH linen? I can't deal with Grey-Lines' shipping charges or Fabrics-Store's overall quality (and inconsistent pricing).

I've ordered a couple of yards of garden variety 5.5 oz and some swatches.
