It’s a sad indictment of Britain’s ignorance of nature that Sycamore Gap petitions - for a tree that mattered to humans but not nature - received tens of thousands of signatures but a petition to protect entire peatland habitats is stuck at 1,500 actnow.peatfreepartnership.org.uk/end-peat-sal...
Sign the petition to end peat sales!
No more delays: Let's get peat out of gardens once and for all. The time for uncertainty has ended.

🌊 Most of 64 floating Antarctic ice shelves are set to disappear if high emissions and ocean warming continue. Their disappearance would strongly accelerate sea level rise, as the grounded #Antarctic ice sheet would be less restrained from flowing into the ocean.

I’m doing an informal survey here: in what year did you first hear about the extraction of oil and gas being a problem? Human rights, climate, pollution - any kind of problem? And where did you hear it? Thanks!

Today's climate sucks because it's really hard for people to grasp things they haven't witnessed before. That's part of what makes communicating extreme weather-fueled disasters so challenging.

If I genuinely could be bothered to Pivot to Video, I would do something with sock puppets. It would probably be awesome. It would almost certainly develop an epic storyline. I would make people sob over noble sock-sacrifice.

It would also be time I wasn’t spending writing books.

I am 48, fat, and cannot be arsed to do makeup. I do not want to record videos promoting my books. I have explained this to publishers in exactly these words, but it’s a 50/50 on whether it takes.
As more and more creators are expected to be on camera to promote their comics, can we talk for a second about how this opens up female creators to intense harassment about their looks?

Not to mention a lot of "You only have a career in comics because you're good looking" comments?

I didn't post on facebook a lot but one of my favorite posts of me is a picture I took after we'd been finishing a book and I'd just been washing my hair, not brushing it, and putting it on top of my head in a bun for 2 weeks. Ironically probably better than anything I'd do on purpose. lol

I wrote about the glaciers. A study out today projects their future, and it is grim.
When the Glaciers Go, They Won't Come Back
Shaving every tenth of a degree off whatever final thermometer number we end up at means a few more glaciers hanging on, diminished perhaps, but a glacier still, with room to grow.

My guy, making random content was why I ended up making YGO Abridged to begin with. The first few videos on my channel were an Alan Partridge clip set to YGO footage and then a terribly edited Aqua Teen thing about YGO.
