Sat down and watched the first episode of Star Trek Starfleet Academy and I think I loved every single thing about that show.

There's a "know your rights when encountering ICE" webinar they want me to sign up for, but it requires registering with my name and email address and I'm all "read the room, guys"

I really didn't want to play a game about right-wing assholes attending Bro-mageddon until I peeked at the discord discussions about DEAD-PILLED and now I want to play the Hanna Zamfir character in this game so badly.

(I know she's a Side Character, but still.)
DEAD-PILLED is now available on The Gauntlet's $7+ Patreon feed (or available as a one-time purchase for $8). DEAD-PILLED is a new Carved from Brindlewood game by me!

The letter from Bill and Hillary Clinton to James Comer explaining their refusal to testify in his Epstein investigation is really remarkable, not like any letter of this genre I've seen. It's signed by them, not a lawyer, and the arguments are not legal ones. Reprinted from their X account:

Evro, the elven thief, lasted maybe two or three game sessions before I somehow became a GM for life.
Does anyone else remember their first Dungeons & Dragons character? How long ago did you play them, for how long, and what was their fate?

Mine was a half-elf rogue named Morestal in D&D 3.5e around 2006 or 2007. Only played for 2 or 3 sessions, but he did live!

It's actually that one.

But if you want something different, it's this one.

The thing about the artists/indie game designers passing around the same $10 joke is that sometimes you need the $10, the next time someone else will and you’ll have $10 to give.

In this way we uplift each other and get to keep making art.

It'e got to be either M*A*S*H or The Good Place. Newhart and The Shield are up there, but those are mainly because of the final scene in each.

I'm also tempted to put Justice League Unlimited in contention, but that's probably landing just above The Shield and Newhart.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

Starting the year off in a good way: I came across a mention of someone trying out one of my vs. GAMES (vs. MARS) in a #TTRPGWRAPPED thresd.

I rarely see notes of my little games actually being played. It's nice to see those little booklets of potential fun being converted to actual fun.

Oh my God, this extensive and ongoing thread of insults about Rob Schneider from @kevinmkruse.bsky.social is the most savagely funny roasting of someone I've read since Goth Ms. Frizzle/@Spookperson's legendary series of Tweets about Roger Stone's fashion choices back on the Bird Place.
Yeah, man, the only difference between your career and Mark Rufallo’s career is the political stuff.
