That article saying David Sacks is corruptly steering federal policy to make money for himself and his friends (bad) is wrong. What's actually happening is David Sacks is corruptly steering federal policy to make money for himself and his friends (good).
Behold this absolutely *artistic* bit of water-carrying for corruption in POLITICO's nightly newsletter. It's "misaligned" to expose an AI investor using his government perch to enrich AI investors!

perfect is the enemy of good and demanding perfect RCTs for annual flu shots = no flu shots
If new proposals detailed in an FDA memo are put into place, experts told me it would mean the end of annual flu shots. And end of most vaccines for pregnant people. And maybe the end of updates to pneumonia vaccines. And more.

Managers are by definition part of management
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, pressed by the likes of Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart, said this week that he'd be in favor of MLB adding a salary cap – and a floor.

“You know what? I’m alright with that,” Roberts said. www.nytimes.com/athletic/686...

Wrote about the long history of baseball’s salary cap fight, which dates back to the 1800s:

What MLB's salary cap history can tell us about the upcoming CBA negotiations
For almost as long as baseball has existed as an organized sport, team owners have been trying to suppress payrolls

Cannot stress how bad shit is about to get if you want to build any kind of PC.
Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies instead. It’s already getting hard to build an affordable PC, and the exit of the longstanding provider of consumer memory is going to make that even more challenging www.theverge.com/news/837594/...

An article that wasn't focused on elite colleges might be capable of considering that disability accommodations are about a student getting a good education for themselves rather than framing things in terms of a hunger games competition for who gets to be elite in society

Call it what you will, it's a focus group. MLB created a focus group so they can figure out how to move the public to their side on a lockout they plan to implement a year from now.

Let me get this straight: we trained this guy to be an elite killer, abandoned his country to the Taliban, isolated him, arbitrarily banned him from working and so left his family unsupported.

I don’t know if there’s any more efficient way of producing a mental health crisis outside of torture.

It's funny how this guy says “last decade” when this was deployed as an excuse to fight against my accommodations in college *two* decades ago. Blow it out your ass!
Literally any human who has been even casually involved in education in the last decade knows multiple people who have gotten dubious diagnoses to get extra time on exams. I expect more from journalists, certainly, but let’s not pretend like this is a controversial issue.
