jesus the Palm Beach Police really sought arrest warrants against underage Epstein victims for coming forward and cooperating, and (purported) admitting to crimes, and it caused the victims to become uncooperative with the federal investigation

there are so many people who claim to care about trans rights, that spend all their time attacking the party where the normal, 99% of elected officials position is unlimited support for trans rights

and never the party who's 100% stand is "no trans rights" and 99% stand is "wipe them out"
So, Jessica Pishko lied about Democrats not protecting trans kids bc 1% of House Dems voted wrong, just like on the trans athlete bill, which all 47 Senate Dems killed via filibuster. When called on it she wouldn’t admit she was wrong, but made bad faith claims, ended up on “genocide,” & blocked me

Also can some smart lawyer explain to me why the president being on the receiving end of a lawsuit distracts him from his job, using SCOTUS logic, but him suing civilians doesn’t?
Also, because he is president and expressly because we don't want lawsuits distracting him from his job, civil suits can't be filed against him.

Seconded because this makes zero sense.

These declines are MASSIVE.

And the comparative silence in media coverage is absolutely DAMNING.

“Why are ppl always so afraid of crime?”

THIS is why. When crime goes up, media trips over itself to report it.

Falls to pre-war (!!) levels? Just CRICKETS.
I count 10 cities in 2025 that are on track to have the fewest murders since at least 1970. Newark is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1956 (though only have data through Oct this year) and San Francisco is on pace to have the fewest murders since 1942.

The mistake, of the NYT & everyone else, was in participating in the obvious bad faith lie that this lawless authoritarianism was about saving money & reducing the debt. We could have just all acted like adults, & read the laws & constitution, & treated it like the criminal enterprise it always was.

And yes, journalists, that means you need to do some "Free PR" for Democrats.

You also need to stop making every Republican misstep or misdeed about how Democrats Could Solve This But They're Too Feckless.

You also need to learn how things *ACTUALLY* work and stop wallowing in ignorance.

Biden was the most progressive president in modern history, and it's time we say it. We can and should demand better, but better doesn't happen if, every time the needle is moved towards the progressive end of the spectrum, y'all claim everything is actually getting more conservative/worse.

And now it’s on the internet forever.

Here’s a “I didn’t play for a week and now the Christmas event stuff started and every recurring revenue system reset requiring a new pop up” version that is somehow twice as long

The problem with this piece, like all the other pieces, is that the missing hed, dek, & lede is that all of this was wildly illegal, unconstitutional, & criminal. This is how you normalize lawless authoritarianism - treat like just another story in our politics. “Transformation” is lazy euphemism.
This WaPo piece weaves together an incredibly powerful story about the way Trump has devastated government and the dedicated people who wake up every day to serve the public. wapo.st/4b14KAy

Also totally ignoring that Trump won with a much smaller margin than Biden did in 2020.

MSM: Some Americans are more equal than others.
The gall to treat the 2024 election like it was a binding referendum on American culture, a lasting “vibe shift” to which others must accommodate, then within a year proclaim the cultural change over, as if a bystander, not an active contributor manufacturing vibe shifts by overdetermining results.
