I’ve had a fabulous couple of days at Kenton Primary in Devon, where every child has worked together to create this ‘two piece’ display for their school entrance. Thanks again to @edfinch.bsky.social for inviting me over.

Artwork created by the children from Kenton Primary school in Devon. The images show the two halves of a 3D relief sculpture showing the local landscape, the nearby Powderham Castle, and the children themselves on a 'journey' to their new school. Save the Date: Salmon Run is on 20 September 2025.

A relay run up the river plus lots more. New activities this year include The Gathering, a fishy festival at Sideshore, Exmouth, with art, music, talks & games.

And more activities at the finish in Dulverton, with @exmoornp.bsky.social
A map showing the route of the Salmon Run relay from Exmouth to Dulverton, with information about the event.

Fascinating to learn a little of the history of @welcometowillerby.bsky.social beyond the published stories.
@wyrdfolkpod.bsky.social will be interested to read this.

I think that apart from the Magritte gag (which is rather good), this will be simply perplexing to anyone unfamiliar with Willerby.
Which is, to my mind, a good reason to become familiar with Willerby.

That's lovely and almost completely reliable. They are so keen to propagate and so hard to kill.

But if thirty year tens make thirty new plants, how many years before the whole world is spider plants?
