O’Neil Burke was pointedly absent from the coalition of prosecutors who announced they’d start talks on how to prosecute ICE.
Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, along with more than half of the county’s commissioners, have called on Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neil Burke to file charges against federal immigration agents involved in shootings that took place last year in the Chicago area.

Super Bowl viewers Sunday speculated that 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos appeared in the halftime show. In fact, he has been in hiding with his family.

I recently heard someone say the key to recovering from deep burnout is becoming comfortable with being unremarkable, which I think is really good advice for former academics coming from spaces where the primary currency is individual accolades within an interminable productivity arms race.
