That last line is one of the absolute single scariest things to me and that it was said with such casual happiness is even more disturbing.

Not distressing.

Full tilt disturbing.

This is a key table to understanding public opinion on migration. *When confronted with the real trade offs* people go for protecting the NHS and the economy over reducing migration.

The problem as per the rest of the thread is many don't believe those trade offs exist.
When presented economy vs immigration trade-offs, Britons typically opt for economic benefit over lower migration

Those who support requiring large nos of migrants to leave would pick fully staffing NHS over reducing immigration, but economic arguments hold less sway

Okay so someone should start talking Warhammer here. I have mostly been playing Heresy lately. I have mixed feelings about the recent reveal. Plastic Fellblade, Breachers and Rapiers - fantastic, and will help with armies feeling like distinct Heresy armies, not just 7th Ed 40K with round Dreads.

I continue to be obsessed with this, just at a production level. A children’s book series, best enjoyed aged seven to ten, where almost all your core cast are aged 10 to 11, is going to run *for a decade*? What could go wrong?

While this is positive - 50 racks city wide is hilariously low. I’ve locked my bike at retail parks with more than 50 racks.
One of the most frustrating things about being sustainable is cycling to a place and discovering there's nowhere to lock up your bike. Spokane's trying to fix that, installing 50 new bike racks citywide. Urbanism columnist @lpangborn.bsky.social has deets & tips.

Not the first person to make this observation, but it's so striking how the media covered the crack epidemic as a problem caused by black/urban drug users and the fentanyl epidemic as a problem imposed externally on white/rural drug users.

Repost yourself. Interact with others. Use tags. Use feeds. Be kind and find kindness. Comment away. It's really really freeing.

I’ve been watching House MD again, via streaming this time. Previously watched the DVDs my parents had. It’s made me realise how much I miss DVD extras. Director or cast commentary, outtakes, behind the scenes footage. I think of how LotR is largely beloved because of how good its making of film is.

As a senior digital person in Higher Education, the thing i have to drill into everyone is that young people lie constantly on surveys.

Surveys are a game to be won, by saying the thing they think the old people want them to say.

They're not even conscious they're doing it. /1
“Young People Don’t Want Sex And Romance In Their Games” and the top 10 up and coming Steam games are stuff like anime dating sims about a werewolf woman that has sex with people and eats them.
