I've gone around saying I'm 5'11" all my life since having to learn (imperial or whatever the term was again) to navigate online. Technically 179 cm, but ofc 6'1"ish in heels back whenever my ankles still tolerated such better.

So yes. Shortarse hobbits. But women get dissed more for being "big". 🤷‍♀️

I find that Lot of Piety and its ruler helps to encapsulate what gave a person's life meaning/ what values were important to them, which is helpful for writing an eulogy. And also, of course what faith (or not) they felt represented by

When all the culture & fashion magazines start talking about, I dunno, skinny jeans, we should not simply conclude, "oh, skinny jeans are happening," as though it's some natural force. These things don't just happen-- someone chooses. Someone with power or money wants us talking about skinny jeans.

Covid has never gone away, and it's not just a cold. My infection in 2022 left me permanently disabled after previously being fit and healthy. Get boosted, and wear a mask in busy public spaces, especially public transport and hospitals. Not sure where to find a mask? Ask @edinmaskbloc.bsky.social!

I got my mom to wear an N95 at the airport and on the plane, so that's a big win. It's just weird that she was a public health nurse and doesn't take COVID as seriously as I do?

The very first masked person I've seen here was yesterday, a cashier in Walmart with a cloth mask. That's something but.
