We need masks in healthcare...ALWAYS
Patient came in with sore throat. While waiting for rapid Strep test result we glanced back at the Covid-19 RAT result: positive. Reminder that masking in health care makes sense, if you don’t want everyone in your waiting room to go home sick, your staff to get sick, and physicians to get sick.

Palestine Action hearing.
Our legal arguments focus on the fact that proscribing a direct-action protest group is a disproportionate use of anti-terrorism laws.

This case will have profound implications for how counter terror powers are used against protestors in the future.

This fact *alone* demonstrates the utility of masking (and social distancing,) and that the vaccines do not prevent COVID infection or transmission.
“On February 1, 2022, while facing the Omicron variant and with the older adult newly boosted, Denmark became the first country to drop all NPIs. A few months later, 70% of the population had been infected with the Omicron variant, showing the SARS-CoV-2 transmission potential when unmitigated.”

I wondered what was going on. I've gained 35 pounds since I got COVID six years ago. I can't exercise anymore, but my diet is as healthy as it ever was. I shouldn't weigh more than I did when I was about to give birth, had toxemia, and had been on bed rest for eight weeks.

Electric bills are up 11% this year, and shutoffs are spiking across the country.

At the same time, corporations are building hundreds of energy-hungry data centers, and working families are being forced to absorb the cost. Higher bills for us, higher profits for them. seiu.co/3M71usW
More Americans are getting their power shut off, as unpaid bills pile up
Average electricity costs have risen 11 percent since January, more than three times the rate of inflation.

I'm really confused. It's the right thing to do, but thus far they've been avoiding any talk about masks. Now, out of the blue, bc of the flu pandemic, they have decided to distribute free masks among the population.
Do they know something we don't, or have they become, suddenly, sensible?

There is this, elite's businesses.
The US has spent $195 billion on this proxy war, with much of it being given directly to weapons manufacturers domestically. It's been a giant giveaway to the military industrial complex. Plus, it's draining Europe, increasing energy prices, and forcing them to destroy their social safety net.

Besides ventilation, air filtration and proper masking, there is need to factor in crowding when assessing the risk of covid, and how we can atomize crowds. Humongous crowds are always avoidable.

Flu. If masking with respirators is not normalized fast, we are facing a very dangerous winter. H1N1, H3N2, mutations and reassortments, and bird flu (H5N1, H5N5 at our doorstep). With the current high incidence, the possibilities of evolution to even more dangerous strains rise... in waves.

If they are suffering from fatigue, poor focus and mood changes affecting work, relationships and quality of life, then THEY ARE NOT RECOVERED!

I'm going to yell at everyone about this until they stop calling people with long COVID "recovered."
Long COVID’s hidden toll: the South Africans still battling fatigue, anxiety and memory loss.

In South Africa, over 4 million COVID cases were confirmed. For many, recovery was only the start; fatigue, poor focus and mood changes now affect work, relationships and quality of life.

New studies come out all the time. I understand it’s hard to face but everyone should know the truth.

“Everyone [who’s] had COVID-19 tends to have some lasting reduction in brain blood flow (CBF), mainly in frontotemporal areas – even if they feel 100% recovered [and the infection was mild].”

SARS-CoV-2 "...causes persistent cerebral hypoperfusion (mainly frontotemporal) that can still be detected months later..."

You want your frontotemporal lobes as healthy as possible. Among other things, they’re responsible for decision-making, risk assessment, self control, and memory.

Protect your frontotemporal lobes. Wear a well-fitting mask wherever you can get or spread COVID.
