A reminder that ICE hasn’t slowed down in Minneapolis at all.

Outside of Minnesota, it might feel like everything has changed since Alex Pretti’s murder. But ICE hasn’t actually lost any power and they’re continuing to terrorize our communities.

After executing Alex Pretti on Saturday, ICE has shifted to primarily targeting bus stops and elementary schools in my community this week. I cannot overstate how much of the ICE activity in my community is just targeting places where little kids are.

to me, the simplest argument against body cams as reform is that they executed a poet and a nurse in the streets while being aware they were on camera from multiple angles. and in the case of renee good, the shooter even filmed it himself.

All so that Acting Director Lyons doesn’t have to appear in person before Chief Judge Schiltz on Friday…
BREAKING: The petitioner ("T.R." or Juan Tobay Robles) whose non-release prompted Chief Judge Schilitz to threaten ICE director Todd Lyons with contempt has now been RELEASED, according to what the civil chief of the US Atty's office has told his atty and his atty has relayed to me.

I wrote about how Fox News is trying to portray Tom Homan as the immigration good cop, the professional, the cooler head -- all of which is absurd to anyone who knows the first thing about him. Fox is trying for a rebrand but the underlying policy hasn't changed.

The president should be impeached and convicted, as should everyone responsible for these outrages. ICE should be disbanded. So should the Department of Homeland Security. And the people who have killed should be investigated and brought before judges and juries.
We have to see the logic of the killings as well as the killings themselves. The horror is a truth in itself. But it is also a sign of a political logic, one known from the totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century.

The overfunding of AI hurts us all, in very real ways
One of the reasons they need to strip ICE and DHS funding is to stop the development of things like this. We can’t have a democracy where we are constantly surveilled. And large corporations shouldn’t have access to all our private data AND make a fuckton of money off it.

There's been a lot of discussion about the echoes of the civil rights movement in the protests today, with people obviously drawing comparisons between the strategies, tactics and coalitions that were vital then and are still vital now.

But this post has me thinking about a different echo ...
I suspect right now Stephen Miller and the other nazis are meeting to discuss how a place not as “nice" or "peaceful” as Minnesota will provide better oxygen for their lies and goals of martial law.

Everything they learned in Minnesota they’re applying in Maine from day one. They started off doing fast-moving snatch and grabs on the street, recording and using facial id on observers, and threatening observers directly. They’ll do it all where you live too.
Why is the msm outside of Maine not covering this? It seems like a huge and very troubling story to me. ICE coming to observers houses or calling them on the phone warning them to back off??!! www.pressherald.com/2026/01/23/i...

It's also why they want to control social media so badly.

Most white kids did not learn about Black Wall Street, the Tulsa massacre, the MOVE bombing, or a million other atrocities in school. We learned about this stuff online from Black people sharing history.

We need to get it broadly understood that Stephen Miller's ethnic cleansing will result in a permanent metastasized immigrant carceral state and paramilitary warfare on US streets that goes on *for years.*

The internal logic of his agenda dictates this of necessity.

The transportation secretary is also describing a version of events that is purely imaginary and is contradicted by multiple videos of the shooting.
Sean Duffy: "If you come to a protest with a 9mm firearm, that's fine believing in the Second Amendment, but you stand on the sidewalk and you hold your sign. You take that 9mm and you start to engage with ICE officers, and then you resist arrest -- listen, I don't want anyone to die, but ... "

Nine hours later, TikTok still says my video is “under review,” and can’t be shared.
