I don’t know if this is your struggle, but I fall into a trap where I spend my energy trying to figure out the *best* thing I can do (or the best thing an imaginary version of me could do), and the result is that I don’t do anything. I’m just a tiny creature. Sometimes the best thing is anything.

This is the third time Donald Trump’s Republican Party has failed to keep the government from shutting down WHILE HOLDING MAJORITIES IN BOTH HOUSES OF CONGRESS—but for some reason, only Democrats are expected to seek bipartisan compromises.
