I don’t know who needs to hear Jesse Jackson leading the kids on Sesame Street in this beautiful call-and-response reminding them that every child is somebody, but here it is

If Mayor Pete could do it and be treated seriously as the mayor of a City of 100k, why shouldn’t AOC, who has represented a district 7x that population size for 7 years (the same amount of time Pete had been mayor when he ran) and who would presumably have been a Rep for 9 years during a prez run?
The worst case scenario for an AOC presidential run in 2028 is that she’s setting herself up for 2032 or 2036.

She is going to be president someday—it’s just a matter of time.
You Know What? Maybe the Time Is Right for an AOC Presidential Bid
She’s only 36, and there’s a good argument that she should run for Senate and bide her time. But she also could be a formidable White House candidate.

Hillary Clinton: "More people were deported under my husband and Barack Obama without killing American citizens and without putting children into detention camps than were in the first Trump term or this first year of Trump's second term."

Speaking of Peckinpah, one of my favorite Python bits - I know half these guys aged into buffoons but this was revolutionary shit putting this on tv sets in 1971; it’s almost impossible for people born post-internet to fully appreciate and it’s still wonderfully silly 55 years later

The tragedy of Bud Court's career was that by the time Wes Anderson started making movies he was already in his 50s. Jason Schwartzman owes his entire career to this. Luckily, Wes still had One Perfect Part for him: the Bond Company Stooge
