Posted about this smoke last night and how I’m conflicted. I think Sitaki is a good coach, I am not sold on the fit but I think there’s some juice to this working out well.
BYU coach Kalani Sitake is the focus of the Penn State coaching search, NBC Sports can confirm. No deal is done at this point. On3, ESPN also on it.

BYU is set to play Texas Tech in the Big 12 title game this weekend.

Also a great point in adding context to a potential Sitaki hire.
One thought that just occurred to me: Is this a play to compete against the Samoan pipeline that Oregon and USC have. In a lot of ways, those schools are bigger threats to Penn State than say Michigan. And then you keep Terry around for traditional recruiting grounds.
I’m not a coach hire newsbreaker and I don’t know how this story ends, but I’ve talked to enough people I trust over the last 24 hours to believe the kalani sitake / penn state chatter is not just message board fodder. There’s legitimate smoke.

On one hand, it feels like a crazy Brian Kelly-level mismatch. But @c2cdevydeets.bsky.social made a good point in the C2C slack that Penn State really doesn’t need roots in central PA/DMV with how dominant they’ve been in the past few years. X’s and O’s, Sitaki’s philosophy jives with PSU.

A Duke/UVA ACC Championship game with a playoff spot on the line is exactly what this college football season deserves (derogatory).

one thing i love about college football is that you can locate the least consequential game of the day, between two schools you barely knew existed, and there will be grown men on television in the stands ready to kill themselves if it goes the wrong way

It took me a while to catch what it said
'Cause I had to match the rhythm of his belly with my head
"Jesus Saves" is what it raved
In a typical tattoo green
He stood on a box in the middle of the city
And he claimed he had a dream
Oh, thunder only happens when it's rainin'
Players only love you when they're playin'
Say women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
You'll know

Had one bestball lineup still alive in the Transfer Portal on Underdog going into this week.

Looks like that single shot is carrying me into the championship week. Let’s go!

Had a really niche skeet ready to go asking which mayoral candidate each of the SuperKitties voted for last week.

All I know is Bitsy’s glad Zohran won.

Out here hoping #PennState can return the favor of Indiana's 2020 upset to the Hoosiers here today. We are down but, still, #WeAre.

They don’t prepare you for how hard some of the lines in kids shows/movies go.

Every time I hear “Into the night to save the day” on PJ Masks I think to myself that’s one of the coldest catchphrases ever.

This Saturday was circled on the calendar and looked very different even just a month ago.

Probably going to see Penn State get rolled today but #WeAre, nonetheless.

Fwiw we see a similar trend across all communities, not just sports. Real people, real conversations.
