These Spider-Man games have some of the best traversal gamefeel I've ever played. I almost never fast travel because the swinging has such a satisfying rhythm to it.

Been playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales. What a treat Miles's animations are. He flings his arms around wildly while web-swinging and nearly falls over from the momentum when he lands on a building. Totally nails the feel of a new Spider-Man getting the hang of things.

And a message to regular people that they shouldn't expect legal or even rhetorical defense from their leaders. At that point the only recourse is more civil disobedience, which means more of ICE claiming terrorism and responding with violence.

I don't have much faith in the Democratic Party standing up to this, but it does feel like we're at the last opportunity to do so meaningfully. If they try to keep their heads down and "let Trump self-destruct" electorally, that's a green light for more violence from ICE.
