And unlike Mastodon, I remain very concerned about BlueSky's future. Their VC funding was likely banking on them seeing hockey-stick growth and maybe even beating Twitter. They're shrinking now, and they're so centralized that if the company goes under that's it for the platform.

I especially noticed this during Zohran's primary run. I checked Twitter and that was where most of the news and commentary was happening. BlueSky is more or less what Mastodon is: a nice little community for a subset of ex-Twitter users, rather than "The New Twitter"

And the game deletes your save so you can't save scum the final shot. An interesting example of "git gud" as narrative device rather than meta. In the final ceremony you feel the same way the character does. "I've practiced the shot over and over, but will it be enough?"

Played Many Nights a Whisper, a game I picked up on a whim after reading a review. Really cool.

You play as a kind of priestess training to fire a slingshot into a distant chalice. The whole game hinges on the ceremony where you have one shot, and you have to practice so you get it perfectly.

Realistically I don't think political violence is good, but this stuff is an output of an already violent political culture. It's the unintended blowback from the politics Kirk himself promoted, and he deserves not one ounce of sympathy for finally experiencing the consequences of it.

Hard not to think about what the future could have been for Matt. He was unstoppable, and I was looking forward to the kinds of manga he'd be working on in five, ten, or twenty years. He had so many books he was passionate about, so much he wanted to share with others, and such an infectious energy.

He was a vital partner for Azuki who believed in us early on, but more importantly, through that partnership I was able to call him my friend. I'm so lucky for the time I got to spend with him, and we're all lucky we got to read the fruits of his labor. It's unbelievable what he was able to build.
