Closest I've been would be childhood camping trips in rural Pennsylvania. Amish buggies on the road rural. Compared to nice suburban WNY it was creepy AF at night 😬

I don't watch horror anymore but this is exactly why I prefer supernatural horror. My brain knows Samara won't actually get me but some dude with a bunch of chainsaws is a possibility

I've worn these most of the day today and I'm slowly adjusting

The grocery store was the hardest, I think because of the lighting

But it's really nice to be able to read my phone AND see the TV

We also updated the distance prescription for one eye so my brain is adjusting to that too. I honestly think that's one of the biggest improvements

What Fr Dowling is doing here was not just "offering communion to detainees". A full on Eucharistic Procession is a really fucking big deal. In Catholic theological framing, those folks were the honor guard with the very great privilege of escorting Jesus himself to the detention center.

I did go to the festival, by myself. Sprout didn't want to come

It was smaller than I expected but I had bbq for lunch. Bought some handmade soap & my colleague was selling an assortment of things so I bought a little spider plant from her

I want to go to this little local festival but it ends in 3 hours and I still have to shower. And grocery shopping needs to happen

Also The Parking situation is Uncertain which is possibly enough for me to reconsider
