Gonna remind the whole of Bluesky, again, that journalistic norms of saying “Texas is doing this” and “Texas is doing that”, (when it’s the TX GOP only) cedes an entire population to white supremacy and erases the opposition that also represents Texas and the Texans that would be victimized.

What happens to the 13 schools Austin ISD wants to close? AISD says they'll be sold, leased or repurposed.

Tax records show the campuses are worth nearly $296 million and have over a million square feet of air conditioned space.

Map in the story.

Oh no!! They are world renowned and to not have a shop here in the U.S., in New York, is sad, sad news.

Kremer Pigments, a pigment store in New York, has announced it is closing at the end of November. It's clear that the pigments, which come from around the world, can no longer be sold here after the massive tariffs instituted by our government.
How sad.

Chat is it a good sign that it took national reporters an entire month to finally pay attention to the third largest metro in the country being invaded

I'm really glad more people are realizing how brutal ICE has been in Chicago but it's really weird to see people talking about Rev Black getting attacked like it happened yesterday and not 3 weeks ago. Like, I'm glad people are catching up! But it's very weird.

Jack collaborated with neo-Nazi twins to make a documentary. He was a fan of white supremacist Richard Spencer. He has tweeted 1488, the alphanumeric code for Heil Hitler. He wrote an unreadable anti-antifa book. Last year he wrote a book abt the left called “Unhumans.” That he’s now speaking here…

“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

We are in the second week of the Republican shutdown.

Where are House Republicans? On vacation.

Went looking around the Capitol to see if any Republicans had the common sense to come back. Featuring @mcbride.house.gov.

Today’s advice from your Goth Auntie
-Listen to a song you like and dance around. Drink some water, take your meds.
-You have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.
-The Distant Ominous Music may try some new instruments; be prepared for extra weirdness.
