This visualization of daily activity of ICE is unreal.

Please don't think anything is back to normal in Minnesota. Nothing is normal.

I know we’re strong. Don’t know if it’s enough.

If you don't live here, your Minnesota friends may tell you that it's going to be okay but I think a lot of that is them being nice so you won't worry.

It's bad here.
JUST IN: Authorities are at the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in St. Paul that's believed to have involved federal immigration agents.

see that's not particularly difficult messaging
I will not support any funding deal that puts money in the hands of Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, and this violent agency. Defund and abolish ICE now.

This cannot be something a civilian law enforcement agent is allowed to wear in the US — and an agency that has a culture that tolerates this cannot be saved.
Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

Today in Minnesota federal agents stationed themselves in dark SUVs along school bus routes during afternoon dropoff so they might have the opportunity to abduct and deport children and their parents
Just so everyone is clear, Minnesota is still very much under siege by the federal government and their gestapo. My son's school had to lockdown today after threatening messages were sent to the school office. It's all absolutely fucked and there appears to be no end in sight.

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

Nation. To harass the community, ICE detains anybody, brings them to their facility at Whipple, processes them, and if they've decided not to deport them they'll release them.

Into the woods in the area.

At night.

Without jackets.

In below 0 weather.

It’s so hard to describe what this is like to people who aren’t here. The ICE/BCP occupation seeps into everything. It’s not just the horror of the big stuff. It’s the little stuff, too: helicopters all night, vigilance during every trip out of the house, guilt at having any downtime at all.
I've personally had barely any ICE encounters. I've done patrolling when I can. And my body is just yelling at me that it's wrecked.

Even doing a little bit is fucking taxing. Everyone doing more is a superhero, and I don't think folks who haven't been involved in an occupation understand the toll.

This is Minneapolis.

So damn proud of this place. Easily the largest group bike ride I've ever seen of people showing up for the Pretti-Good Memorial Ride. Huge thanks to all those who did logistical work, marshalled, and showed up for justice.

So obviously, the bitter cold has worked in favor of MN residents. But if it was 40 degrees, you would have someone on every single corner with a Hamm's and a walkie talkie.
That goes for every city after us (insert relevant local beer).

The terror that ICE and CBP have inflicted on the children of the Twin Cities is, by itself, a crime of scandalous proportions that will forever stain this country's moral fabric, and all those responsible should never know another day of peace. www.theatlantic.com/politics/202...

One of the first lessons I learned in organizing is that you celebrate victories as they come, even if they’re incomplete. Border Patrol being pulled off our streets is a massive victory for and by the people of Minnesota. It doesn’t make our work less urgent or needed, but it’s a big-ass win.

Nonviolence is, in fact, working. This administration is weaker than it was a year ago. More and more of the public is becoming galvanized against it; its agents are being impeded.
Do you honestly think people in the civil rights movement and other nonviolent movements faced no violence themselves? They practiced nonviolence because it works, because the oppressor wants a shooting war, which is the war it will win
How's your non-violent working Mr Gandhi stancil? They will kill each and everyone of you right if they had the chance and you will still be writing Kumbaya.

That story of the little boy they abducted from his home in Minnesota and sent to Texas after using him as bait to arrest and deport his family members cracked a primal fury within me. We are dealing with an evil incarnate, empowered by the full force and purse of our federal government.

Respectfully, look at this fucking bullshit that we’re dealing with, not a single person here has “taken the bait.” We have born witness as little kids are used as bait and neighbors are kidnapped on our streets. A mad dipshit is going to invoke the Insurrection Act regardless and you are blaming us
Violence only helps Trump & may provide him an excuse to further trample our rights by invoking the Insurrection Act.

People are giving it everything they have in the face of this inhumanity. Will there be anything worth salvaging when this is over?
Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."
