i'm almost done the netflix series "monster: the ed gein story" and it's really well-acted and produced but i have an issue with it being described as "The shocking true-life tale of Ed Gein". it is utterly fan fiction highlighting his influence on hollywood over the past 40+ years.

my dad put his brakepads on backwards and burned through them in a day.
i also seized the engine on his truck because he didn't keep an eye on the radiator and it ran out of fluid.
he was allowed to change fluids on my car when i asked, anything that would kill me if it failed, he didn't touch.
