Generally speaking I think the marbles are all going to happen when they get creamed and probably lose the senate too in '26 (which I think is probably now the more likely scenario based on results.)

Big problem I have with the assumption Trump just wants Venezuelan oil (which he probably does) is that it’s the world’s shittiest oil and is extremely expensive to extract. Shale fracking is the same. Reducing this war to postcolonial theory exonerates Trump from the fact he’s insane.
