We cannot share a free country with these people. Either it will not be free or one group—us or them—will no longer be in this country.

They've made their choice. Have we made ours?
After Trump pushes the big lie, DeSantis jumps in to say Florida was "jipped" by Biden and he says, "I would love for them to redo the census for 26."

This was Mike Johnson's third failed rule vote of the 119th Congress, bringing him closer to tying the modern era record for rule failure in the House.

Which is currently held by... Mike Johnson, from the 118th Congress
RULE VOTE FAILS, 217-214.

Three Republicans- Thomas Massie, Kevin Kiley, and Don Bacon - buck the party to allow floor consideration of measures to end Trump's tariffs.

The first such measure, likely on Canada tariffs, could come up as soon as tomorrow

And then there’s me understating things a bit*
Strange how intensifying words, e.g. "frankly," "honestly," "legitimately," etc. have become so overused that they are now words that dilute instead. See also: literally. Wondering if it's a case of 'when everything is intensified, nothing is' or if adverbs are as weakening as everyone said.

Essential reading for those who understand that having something repeated frequently does not constitute evidence.
Clinton's victory in 1992 is the canonical example that supposedly proves Dems win by moving to the center. There's only one problem: The data disagrees. Voters saw Clinton as more liberal than Dukakis, & simulations show even a solid progressive would have won www.gelliottmorris.com/p/what-the-d...
What Democrats can actually learn from the 1992 election

LYONS: Yes mam

McIVER: How do you think judgment day will work for you with so much blood on your hands?

LYONS: I'm not going to entertain that question

McIVER: Do you think you're going to hell, Mr Lyons?

Rep. Delia Ramirez to DHS officials: "I have as much respect for you as I do for the last white men who put on masks to terrorize communities of color. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood and the slave patrol. Those activities were criminal and so are yours."

Remember when "America has many groups of people in it and that's good and makes us strong" was an uncontroversial - even cliched - viewpoint that was universally endorsed across the political spectrum?

We can go back! We just have to get rid of the tiny handful of bitter, angry men in the way.

Anyway, Puerto Rico should have whatever relationship its people want with the United States, including independence. The way to find out is with a vote.

Some people will tell you that a vote is somehow inadequate, and those people should be ignored.

I'm hardly the first person to note this, but it's enormously instructive that our President and his followers saw the message "THE ONLY THING MORE POWERFUL THAN HATE IS LOVE" and understood it, correctly, as an attack on them
What a moment.
