I love this. You do need the people in your life who can do the solemn/sacred/hurting support, but we truly also need these friends who know exactly how and when to cross the line with you.

I agree that college students shouldn't be forced to study chemistry or economics (fake, doesn't matter) but they should be forced to study poetry and art (real, makes life worth living).

There is so much conflicting advice when it comes to parenting, differing values, schools of thought, motivation. Not to mention the harmful and uninformed bullshit all over parenting forums. I cannot think of a worse source of parenting "information" than ChatGPT.
