I wrote an article in January about where we have ended up in English law re. "deception as to sex", and what that means for trans people. I think it's likely we can expect to see more of these sorts of cases going forward.

Another curious fact: under English law not disclosing your birth sex is rape by deceit, but if you’re a cop during an undercover operation and get people to sleep with you under a false pretence this way, the law see this as perfectly consensual and legal.
