The UK again shows they've lost touch with decency and humanity when it comes to trans women as a judge declared Graham Linehan not guilty of harrassment after he harrassed a trans minor and broke her phone.
Apparently the victim didn't seem distressed enough.

It feels worth mentioning that Graham Linehan’s harassment literally continued in the courtroom, as he repeatedly misgendered Sophia, and referred to her as “Tarquin”, a fictional deadname he made up for her as part of his harassment campaign. The judge was complicit in this harassment happening.
I wonder if I spent all day, every day, for years, calling Graham Linehan - or the judge - a nonce and then, when I saw him in the street screamed it in his face and smashed his phone, would a judge find I had done no harassing?

It's amazing to me that I feel in 2025 UK the top option would probably have worse social consequences than the bottom one.

I agree that we shouldn't be jumping to conclusions, but this government and the last seems to me to be particularly belligerent when it comes to the existence of trans people, and seems (again, imo) to be in the excessive habit of making policy-based evidence, not evidence-based policy.
Doesn't change my view that Streeting is a dishonest, shapeshifting toe rag who is tacking left in a cynical attempt to succeed the hapless Starmer, but I don't think, fairly read, he is saying he is searching for evidence to justify his policy choices.
Even Hilary Cass - who disgracefully called parents terrified that their trans kids would take their own lives if they were denied healthcare "shroud wavers" - didn't go so far as to call for a ban on puberty blockers.
