No im looking at them actively making things worse. Staying still can be excused.
michaelwi.bsky.social
They’ve literally got guys with swastika tattoos there.

Call racists racist.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Tell that to trans people.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Not voting for Labour is exactly the stance someone unwilling to engage with the politics of populism should do. Labour engaging with populism is precisely the issue.
michaelwi.bsky.social
How is attacking trans people, people of colour, disabled people and immigrants making anyone’s life better.

It’s indulging in the politics of cruelty and should not be supported by a single minority group. Because you can guarantee everyone is on the list to attack at some point.
michaelwi.bsky.social
It’s called having standards.

They absolutely should point out racism when they encounter racism. Anything less is legitimatisation. It’s having that stance that has given reform relevancy.
michaelwi.bsky.social
“It was malicious it was poor leadership”

Again not persuasive. And I’ll remind you that it’s clearly a lie as they went as far as removing the whip from those who opposed it. That proves it was their official policy.
michaelwi.bsky.social
That’s what Labour are doing. So what’s the difference?
michaelwi.bsky.social
If labour require our votes they can support us.

They’ve clearly told us they don’t want our votes. We believe them when they tell us who they are.
michaelwi.bsky.social
What about disability welfare cuts they were forced to roll back on?

What about defunding for mental health support especially in kids?

What about island of strangers?

What about refusing to condemn racists outside hotels?
michaelwi.bsky.social
What about when they appointed a director of an anti-trans hate group as their chief communications officer?

What about when Starmer said it was right to misgender murdered trans kids days before Brianna gheys murder?

What about when Streeting called seeing a trans person in public undignified.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Yes. And that’s forcing trans people out of society. Making them chose being a daily humiliation or working.

Vote reform because otherwise reform will treat me like I treat you isn’t a very persuasive argument. If Labour need our votes then Labour can fucking make some effort and support us.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Their trans stance is sufficient for people to abandon them for a generation and many on the left will.

Check out starmer’s x account and tell me his posts about asylum seekers isn’t racist and demonising.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Don’t attack trans people, disabled people or be racist is not perfection. It’s minimum standards.
michaelwi.bsky.social
No you’ll be worse off under reform.

We’ve already got reform policies on our community.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Seriously?

Literally anything they’ve written about every minority group I’ve already pointed out,
michaelwi.bsky.social
Is your stance seriously that you don’t need to possess any ethics or morals unless everyone else does?
michaelwi.bsky.social
They’re implementing trans Jim Crow laws and earning themselves red flag watchlist from international genocide prevention groups.

Which part of that is progressive?
michaelwi.bsky.social
Did he lose the whip?

If not then it’s at least a stance Labour feels is comparable with their agenda.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Still not coming back till they get rid of the current leadership and turn their back on reform lite policies.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Then prepare for reform. I don’t vote for transphobes or racists.
michaelwi.bsky.social
God. All those (disappointing) hung guys on Grindr better prepare for some porridge then.
michaelwi.bsky.social
Progressive change being going from supporting equality to progressing with attacks on trans people, disabled people, people of colour and immigrants?
