I think a lot about the chance we had at the start of COVID to finally become a more compassionate, collectivist nation, and how profoundly we were failed not only by the sociopathic greed of the ruling class but by each other.

Remember how just a few years ago during the worst of the pandemic when we saw how the govt can actually do big things and saw that our collective health & well-being are intertwined, and then corporations got mad that they lost a modicum of power and helped fund a backlash of amnesia and fascism?

Because really when you don't even have that standard, all you've done is tell a group of predators/abusers, "we won't hold you accountable EITHER" when they slide into the tent.

I feel that some of you need regular reminders of how unpopular this man is. And frankly I see him getting even more so as the economy worsens. Again, this doesn't mean that he will give up any power but it does mean that WE HAVE POWER TOO.

It’s a good time to check your election schedule! Did you know that turnout for municipal elections is very low? Especially preliminaries/primaries. And when turnout is 25, 20, even just 15%, your vote is at its most powerful. Kick those fascists off your school board, city council, etc!

I had not one but TWO pleasant surprises today! They were small things that I thought were likely to go badly but went well instead. It's amazing how much of a boost I'm getting from just two little good things.
