what i've come to dislike the most about LLMs is how cynical i feel now toward any piece of text intended to convey warmth and sincerity. a birthday card from my mom? my brother's wedding vows? poem from my dad? i know all of them use LLMs, so now i can't trust anything they've written is real.
ChatGPT’s signature writing style is everywhere now, and I hate it. It reminds me of when we tried mixing all the beverages at the soda fountain in middle school. We didn’t actually create the perfect drink, we just made a cloying monstrosity that lost everything good about its constituent parts.

There’s a reason when I talk and write about writing screenplays, I talk about the *craft* and not the industry. I can write a very compelling screenplay and coach others to do so. But you learn very quickly succeeding the industry has almost nothing to do with how good your script is.
Said with love but there is a tone deafness in the "just write your spec!" advice that seems to be totally ignored in the current climate.
It works if you're repped. If reps are taking new clients. If places are buying A LOT. If rooms are staffing unknowns/lower levels. If not? It's a platitude.
