A Dem House’s first order of business should be to claw back this money, which was obtained illegally.
The Project 2025 author is using millions of dollars in USAID money for his own security detail.

It is estimated that 762,000 people have *already died* as a result of Elon Musk and Russell Vought’s obscene murder of USAID, including more than 500,000 children.

Vought is a mass murderer.

Friedersdorf just one of the worst to do it, worst in the game. He's one of the most extreme of the "only the left have agency" types, everything is always contextualised in such a way that ultimately whatever is happening it's due to the left's evil or failure.
Not going to read them all because jesus fucking christ but this is nasty work from Friedersdorf

"are able to" means, too often, execs are willing to kill jobs (all about getting exec pay higher cost of labor lower) and willing to sell AI slop in place of whatever was human-made before...
What I mean by "hype being true" is that the models actually *are* able to replace millions of workers - which is the core economic promise that tech oligarchs are making.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.
