Yeah, if I'm in a players union with someone who does this I'd want there to be a very serious conversation about the harms that come with this being the standard he's setting for the rest of us.
Healing after surgery is not driven by morals or love of the game or who wants it more. Framing it as such is harmful for those who ultimately don't return before estimated timelines, leading to the denigratation of those athletes.
This isn't a good thing!

We need to start to understand that “respecting people’s beliefs” means giving the people holding anti-society beliefs what they want, which is separation from society. Respect their agency that they want what they say they want. Give them credit for the natural logical effect of their belief.
