This year my annual solstice open water dip…was a hot shower that felr amazing after I’d been ill.
I rather feel this sums up my year, although it would be nice to raise my hopes for next year, just a bit.

Just got a marketing email about ‘how to stay fit over Christmas’ and err this is displeasing to me.
If you are fit, as the headline suggested, you will stay fit regardless of a day or a week off of training. So just do your thing. Enjoy Christmas.
Fitness is not a binary on/off thing OK.

As more and more creators are expected to be on camera to promote their comics, can we talk for a second about how this opens up female creators to intense harassment about their looks?
Not to mention a lot of "You only have a career in comics because you're good looking" comments?

The UK should be embarrassed that a Labour government -- a LABOUR government -- is proposing measures which even the Chinese government hasn’t implemented. Effectively, control over what everyone sees at the device level, on both mobile and computers.

In an effort at something good on the internet today: A thread on Mr KJC, gingerbread architect of the early 21st century.
Mr KJC got his beginnings like so many gingerbread architects: with a kit house for the kids. Kind of fun but the premade pieces are dry and nasty, only technically edible.

Gutted. Infinite Monkey Cage is by far my favourite radio show. But also, the BBC shouldn’t be pushing out people with morals. None of this is OK. I’m sad for Robin, sad for the show, sad for the fans, and sad for all the many people the BBC is too scared to support.
