this is a bit beside the point, but a long standing pet peeve of mine is framing that implies the “Dems” court black people, as opposed to the establishment Dems BEING the black people. The Party isn’t catering to black ppl, they are black people. Black ppl have actual power within the party.
The far left is resentful of the political power of Black people in the Dem party.

I’m glad she spoke up about Miller. Doesn’t make her look good being the Secretary of the department taking orders from the Deputy COS in front of the Senate, though
I’d prefer Miller get the boot but casting Noem into obscurity is also quite good. Miller won’t be far behind.

FYI: Dems in the senate can't defund ICE. ICE is funded by the Big Ugly Bill. Shutting down DHS on this vote wouldn't touch ICE, but it would shut down FEMA, TSA, Coast Guard, etc. Shutting down ICE requires taking back Congress in the midterms. Dismantling DHS requires the White House in 2028.
