it goes without saying but just in case it's not obvious, what ICE is doing now in MN is what regular cops have been doing for years to Black and brown civilians with impunity, it's just never been as concentrated and televised; this is just to say, it's not new and it's not un-american

seems fairly clear that the ICE guys have been told by somebody "if you kill somebody, local police aren't allowed to investigate the scene, and you need to obstruct them"
Multiple officials of the US federal government are spending their day rather blatantly obstructing Minnesota law enforcement and covering up a murder.

Two women trained as first responders were abducted by three ICE agents. One of the agents starts seizing. The other two don’t know what to do. The women jump into action and save the agent’s life, only to be re-handcuffed and processed.

it's frustrating, because I've gone to bat for Yakuza/Like a Dragon for a *long* time
I was part of the initial huge push for Yakuza 0 forever ago and got so many other people into it
but with all these really-not-bright decisions coming out from the studio, well... I'm okay saying goodbye

Really sucks to see the Yakuza franchise, a series I would have happily called my favorite for several years, just fumble all the good will it's accumulated and make me - and plenty of others it seems - want nothing to do with it.
I have fond memories but I doubt I'll be returning to Kamurocho.

Something that is very important here is that this man’s fellow agents didn’t rush to help him or save his life, barely even pulled over. This is not a military unit joined by bonds of brotherhood and experience together. There is no unit cohesion besides a shared desire to hurt people.
