Kind of wild there has been almost no coverage of the fact that the federal government unleashed chemical weapons against literal kids *at school*.

Why do the US and Iranian governments sound so similar today?
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council says the country is at war. It called protesters a quasi-terrorist group seeking weapons and attempting to spark a civil war.

And if I traveled back in time and showed the Founding Fathers a smartphone I'd be a fucking space wizard, context matters, next asinine argument please
Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith claims that every single one of the Founding Fathers "by today's standards, would be labeled a far-right Christian nationalist."

Impossible to mentally separate this from the fact that we’ve spent literal years now watching a genocide happen right in front of us while being told over and over—often by elected Dems and their staff—that what was obviously happening was not actually happening

ICE murdering people of any citizenship status should be a very hard line in the sand for absolutely every single one of us. And at this point, I think they’ve done it seven or eight times if you’re waiting for a tipping point, the tipping point was the first time this happened.

I teach bystander intervention for a living and have taught de-escalation to law enforcement.

Trust me when I say that bottle girls, gas station clerks, strippers, front desk employees at hotels and airports, baristas, etc. have better de-escalation skills than any cop I've ever seen.

A lot of people, myself included, were saying as far back as 2015 that if this yutz ended up in the White House, he would become our own version of Hitler, and people wanted to argue semantics or tell us to calm down.

And here we are.
Gift link to the most frightening article I've ever read. Trump isn't just an existential threat to America; he's an extential threat to humanity. This is the scariest thing I've ever read in my life.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

Starting this fall, 2,000 NYC 2-year-olds will get free child care.

The program is supposed to expand to all in four years, but funding after the second year is unclear.

Still, one mom told me, “I owe my second kid to de Blasio. I might owe my third to Mamdani.”

Albeit, "keeping score" is not the point.

Key: Three independent credible, experienced groups of video investigators arrive at the same conclusion.

They're able to do this because the available video is dispositive. The course of events is clearly visible.

Thread has links to each investigation.
For those keeping score, Bellingcat, The New York Times Visual Investigation Team, & Washington Post's Visual Forensic team have all published analysis showing the ICE shooter wasn't in the path of Renee Nicole Good’s vehicle when he shot her, contradicting statements by the President & his cronies

A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

Your reminder that what happened to Renee Nicole Good is something that happens regularly in America. This is not new, but it is an expanded version of militarized people targeting Black people in particular.

From ICE detention to murder with impunity, we've been doing it. Now it's broadened.
