"To make the proof" shows how absurd this all is from a scientific standpoint.

Ireland has approved plans to permanently implement a basic income program that will support up to 2,200 artists.

A cost-benefit analysis found that for every €1 invested, society receives €1.39 back.

Officials from other countries are now expressing interest in the program.

The acting CDC Director has no knowledge, training or experience in science/public health. Trump has no knowledge, training or experience in science/public health.

Both are calling to make the MMR vaccine into 3 separate shots, which makes absolutely no scientific or public health sense.

Jim O’Neill joins President Donald Trump’s call for three distinct measles, mumps and rubella shots, claiming a separation would ‘reduce the risk of side effects’ and ‘maximize parental choice’

there are also loads of images like these, which were all very high up in the search results for "chef," "scientist," and "pharmacist" respectively
An older male chef and a younger female chef stand over a pot. The male chef holds a ladle up. Two scientists work side by side. One is an older man and the other is a younger woman. Two pharmacists talk to each other. The one on the left is a younger woman and the one on the right is an older man.

and these are the top two for "therapist"
A younger woman therapist talks to a client with a pen and notebook. An older man therapist listens to a client with a pen and notebook.

for a few search terms I've tried out, these are the top two google image results for "bus driver"
Older man sits in the driver's seat of a school bus. Younger woman sits in the driver's seat of a school bus and is high-fiving a child.

Often when you read a research study, the findings aren't something you can easily see for yourself. But I highly suggest googling any profession and looking at the image search results.

For National Disability Employment Awareness Month at @motherjones.com, I spoke to four disabled federal workers who were laid off about how their old jobs were very accessible—and what the federal government loses out on by having fewer disabled employees. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
The human costs of Trump's war on government
For many disabled workers, federal jobs were decent, human, and accommodating: everything the president hates.

The U.S. shed 32,000 private-sector jobs in September, payroll-processing giant ADP said on Wednesday.

That is down from a revised loss of 3,000 in August. Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal had expected an increase of 45,000.

Fortunately several states did make the telehealth flexibilities permanent for Medicaid, and private insurance won’t necessarily cease coverage. But yes, this is a dumb thing to not make permanent, and keep tying to CRs

Ridiculously, Medicare Telehealth coverage keeps are getting tied to continuing resolutions. Bills could be passed separately. But political bureaucracy. This means Medicare Telehealth waivers are kaput as of today. My latest for @motherjones.com www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Another shutdown casualty: Medicare telehealth coverage
It's got bipartisan support—and millions of Americans need it. But Congress keeps failing to lock in funding for Medicare telehealth services.
