It's time for slower art. The constant churn and grind pushed by techno capitalism has reached its inevitable conclusion with AI slop. Let's make our best work and be patient with our process. Let's release art that's worth stopping for and savoring. Let's show each other what humans can do

I cannot physically describe to you how scary it is that this option exists. Someone can think that they are helping you by leaving a nice review but actually end up damning you by describing what they bought to anAi programed by puritanical old men.

LEAVE THIS FEILD BLANK OH MY GOD.
Apparently Paypal is now asking those who commissioned artists through invoices for feedback on the experience, Please never type anything, Its a trap. Just putting both yours and their accounts at risk of bans.

Because, yeah if someone is unhappy with being a man I'm not shocked to find out that they...don't want to be one, and their pov on masculine expression will ofc be that it was worse for them, but to let that colour your view of all trans men is ridiculous bc most of us actually LIKE being men-

I'm going to choose peace, for now, and simply say that if we're going to uplift trans men in our community, it's important to uplift ones that express joy in their manhood, not dismay. We're all different, sure, but to move past the toxic connotations of manhood, we have to look at people it HELPS!

And find joy in it, and when that happens, you often see people use their masculinity in positive and uplifting ways for themselves and others, but ofc a lot of people ignore that bc it doesn't fit the "girls pressured to become men oh so tragic" narrative

Being a man is complicated, but I'm happy

#LoreOutLoud 🌈✒️ I'm ready to own that I'm trans. I've been writing for a long time, but I've been cagey about openly identifying as trans for awhile. Not because I'm ashamed, but bc of the intensely transphobic environment of the US. Being open about being trans makes me a target, basically. BUT 1/2

Officially broke 10k words for the month, which is more than I'd written in July, August, September, October, and November combined. 🫠 Thailand kind of had a huge negative impact on my writing and I'm so glad I came home for that reason alone. #amwriting #writingcommunity #queerwriters

I want to be more thoughtful about everything I write. It's not that I'm not thoughtful to begin with, but I need to work harder to push boundaries and move my fiction beyond certain norms and expectations.
What’s something you want to start incorporating into your work in 2026? #WritingPrompt

Well that sucks
As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

they did a great job of destroying confidence in the usps
USPS quietly changed its postmark rules — mail is no longer dated when you drop it off. The “official” date is when it hits automated sorting — sometimes days later

Which could have major implications for mail in voting — it’s a clever way to disenfranchise voters that’s going largely overlooked

You don't need AI as an indie author, you need community. You need people who can help you when you're burning out (and vice versa, importantly). Trade labor with each other, beta read for one another, connect with editors and cover artists. Teach & learn. Help promote one another.
