Sian Berry MP, blaming women for the violence shown towards them. Deeply disgusting by the Green Party, the party that hates women.

Thanks @sianberry.bsky.social for your contribution. I spent the day hearing Black women talk about the impact on women of colour and their children during last year’s race riots and civil unrest. This is only ‘divisive’ to the far right. Then how women are erased from history. Very provocative.

One year ago today, a spectacular aurora display graced the night sky across much of the globe. This was my view in *Oklahoma.* What a beautiful world we are fortunate to live on. #photography
Pink, green, and orange aurora pillars with a SAR arc and moon-lit clouds over relatively still waters of a large lake. The andromeda galaxy between a red SAR arc and the Milky Way. Numerous pinkish aurora pillars with a bluish-purple sky and spotty clouds over relatively still waters of a large lake. Among the many possibilities for the next few years, the scenario of swapping one pair of dominant parties (Lab and Con) for another (Reform and LD) is intriguing, under-discussed and, in English elections, not entirely implausible either (several county councils made this leap in May)

Aggregate Result of the 122 Council By-Elections (for 125 Seats) since the 2025 Local Elections:

RFM: 47 (+40)
LDM: 32 (+10)
CON: 13 (-15)
LAB: 12 (-30)
GRN: 11 (+3)
Ind: 5 (-4)
Local: 3 (-3)
SNP: 1 (-1)
PLC: 1 (=)

"How did Keir Starmer turn a popular idea into an unpopular idea by dint of bringing the popular idea in?" asks @mrjamesob.bsky.social

Answer: He didn't.

Media did.

There is an easy explanation about why the popularity of digital ID fell following the police announcement: disinformation.

So much disinformation was immediately shared, even by many usually sensible people.

It is embarassing not to see the BBC pulling up Reform leaders claiming that Nathan Gill was just some fan who got photos taken with Farage - he was an MEP for them & their leader in Wales while taking cash from Russia to act against the UK! Literally the very basics of your job to point this out

🌊I caught up with veteran oceanographer Sylvia Earle, who recently turned 90.

"What really caught my imagination, even as a child, was the extraordinary diversity of life in the sea. Creatures that have no counterpart on the land, like starfish".
