It is SO irritating to walk or bike past a chained-off stairway or bridge with a "not winter maintained" sign on it that went up on schedule on November 1st, with temperatures around 5C and absolutely not a flake of snow on the ground
Civil disobedience in Ottawa - the NCC closes off stairs everywhere because of course no one wants to walk in winter, right?
And the barriers go up on when someone’s calendar says they go up, irrespective of whether there is actually snow on the ground.

Well THIS episode hit me pretty close to home. I and my friends were a LOT like Justin and his friends when I was a teenager. People actually did think I was a Satanist. And there were kids in my circle who had real psychological trouble and access to guns (not like in the USA though, thankfully).

OMG 100% HOLY SHIT YES. Why the HELL can I not see anything except the blinding lights of the advancing cars? On my bike I damn near hit people walking on the paths because the cars have washed them out. On the road, I can barely make out the curbs and lane lines.
I wish we, like, regulated shit nowadays. Between car bloat, blinding headlines, and neighbourhoods packed with rental suites but no on-property parking, driving is an absolute nightmare now.
