We must #ChangeTheNarrative!

Dr Beth Upton was fully acquitted of all wrongdoing in yesterday’s Employment Tribunal decision. Yet she has been vilified by a toxic & poisonous media for months.
It must stop!

Congratulations, and solidarity, to you, Beth!

HR departments countrywide need to start treating gendercrit employees as potentially hostile. As soon as you are required to interact with one, you dust off the rulebook, you dot every eye and cross every t, and you assume bad faith at every turn.

They are a threat to every organisation.

The real victim at the centre of this absurd case is very clearly Dr Beth Upton

To witness the way in which she’s been dehumanised and vilified by Peggie and their (Sex Matters) legal team, the tribunal judge, the British media, and UK politicians has been beyond horrifying

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Labour keeps pretending that the "Supreme" court misjudgement is something it HAS to abide by.

This is a lie. It could overturn the misjudgement in about 5 minutes with a statutory instrument. This transphobic & unfair situation is there because Labour WANTS it to be there, and for no other reason.

I think one of the weirdest things to come out of the UK is the idea that you explicitly should segregate, denigrate, isolate and discriminate against an entire group of people, as long as you do it with "respect and dignity."

They could have prevented all of this DAY ONE

Instead, Starmer made 50% of his cabinet GCs and hired a former SexMatters bigwig as as his Comms director

Vote Green.
as i keep saying. the person to be mad at is squarely @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social

she has created a legal loophole that is being abused by christian extremists and she is refusing to close that loophole

paul conrathe is the guy behind most of these vexatious lawsuits. he's a christian evangelical
Agreed. You have to make sure you are directing your justifiable anger toward the perpetrators.

Being angry at the Womens Institute or Girl Guides is like being mad at someone for being taken hostage and complying with the guy with the gun.

Groups, who want to include trans people, being told who they can and cannot associate with undermines all of our human rights.

This is a failure of this Government to act decisively and provide clarity on how to remain inclusive.

Who does this protect?

We're watching the wholesale burning of every scrap of dignity afforded to trans people in the UK, their rights, their medical services, their employment, their place within society, their bodily functions.

It is a disgrace, and a disgusting stain on the government and media of this country.

Reposting this because I’ve been proven extremely fucking correct this weekend with the shutting down of calling out transphobia at the YP conference.
I know I've been on Your Party a lot this weekend but I feel like I need to explain why they as a party (and their reply guys) upset me, as an individual, and why I feel they are set up for failure on trans rights. Buckle up cuz this is gonna be a thread.

i don't know how that works in practice but it was around the same time they dumped stonewall.

the obvious anti-lgbt+ bias at the bbc has gone ignored for years now. they're a disgusting organisation.
Yet another reason to treat them appropriately if any of them show up at pride...
