They push back with "it's a real birth certificate because it's issued by the state" but if it has info on it that's not factual, how can it be real? That's the way they need to start viewing their own citizenship. From the lens of the "state decides what's real" and what isn't. 🥚

It’s unreal that we take children from their families and pay strangers to care for them, when the majority of removals are due to poverty in the first place
I'd add that in a humane system, the financial assistance we give to foster parents should also be available to bio-family.
Often $$$ is a huge hurdle for extended relatives, adult siblings, and yes, even parents to overcome in providing a safe and stable home.

This is more common than we believe smfh. And although there is a clear designation on a family tree for an adoptee, many don’t know about using the label. And that’s by design. And then ppl assume we share genes with our parents.
