Senator Wyden from the top rope...
The Epstein file is the only thing Trump has ever taken his name off of
🚨 "The Justice Department redacted the names and identifiers of victims. Fox News Digital has learned that the same redaction standards were applied to politically exposed individuals and government officials. "

States need to push back hard here. ICE is saying Real ID isn't valid because some states extend it to those lawfully present and now a state issued birth certificate is deemed insufficient, in this case Maryland. This is very dangerous.

Reminding everyone for no particular reason that Section 230 is one of the last things standing between free speech online and Trump having control over everything you see and say on the internet

I personally think there should be an option when you roll up to urgent care where you can write what you suspect your diagnosis is on a little paper before the doctor sees you and if you’re right you get a sticker

These two stories on inflation from the FT and NYT underscore why I read the former for news on the US these days. The FT tells it straight. The NYT gives us endless paragraphs of Trump team propaganda high up

January 6 was like a much dumber version of Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch and yet a plurality of American voters were like, Yeah, let’s give that guy the nuke codes again. An absolutely world historical debacle of societal ignorance. I’ll never understand it.

Trump got high on his own supply & never figured out the only reason his 1st term wasn’t even more of a disaster was that he inherited & coasted on a good economy. He’s learning the hard way now. Nuts senile person having nuke codes when you also can’t find a job is tough scenes

If SCOTUS somehow were to say "actually, the President can pardon state crimes" the appropriate response from the state would be "no, he cannot"
Yet. We’ve had how many years of “He can’t” until SCOTUS gives him permission.

I’d be surprised if they didn‘t discuss it with Roberts and friends to get preapproved before he signed the pardon.

Not watching Trump's speech, it's past his bedtime, so the ramblings are going to be more insane than usual. The only redeeming point will be if he bites the dust midspeech.

The qualified immunity pleadings and ultimate denial of Bivens claims are going to be rage-inducing and I am 100% here for it.

This story should be on every news outlet from now until the case is over and it's not because it's a month old and this is the first I'm hearing of it.
ICE pepper-sprayed this 1-year-old girl.

Once at the hospital, the doctor had to call in a poison control specialist.

They had never seen anyone that young pepper sprayed.

Another horrific story.

More details below.

Happy Hanukkah to our friends who celebrate. Rachel Posner, a rabbi’s wife in Kiel, Germany, took this photograph in 1931 -- a potent reminder that fascism must be fought in every generation, even if it's wrapped in an American flag and a red hat.
