This week I had a meeting with an amazing advocate who works with a local charity. They don't feel safe publicly criticising government failures because they're applying for government funding to do work the state is failing to do. #spéirgorm

The people who fundraise for local initiatives, like a hospice, are energetic, engaged, motivated, if they weren't busy with a local campaign imagine what else they could accomplish? I believe it's a SOP for politicians to keep 'keep them busy', to keep community-minded

I worked promoting the rights of the child
I felt childhood was valuable as itself; it wasn’t merely a preparation for something else
So argued we should strive to make childhoods as happy as possible (& that eradicating child poverty was fundamental)

Not just speakers: companies, artists, anyone... Use ai images & I immediately distrust you
I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Margaretta was an incredible activist, imprisoned by the state on numerous occasions for her Shannon Airport protests, they imprisoned her even when she was in her 80's. I spent a hilarious night with her in derry a few years back. She will be missed ❤️

Lookit - if Enoch never goes to jail and we don’t have to pay for his incarceration & he never turns up at the school again for fear of incarceration.
Is this not the perfect stalemate that law actually intends?
