It is not healthy to be perpetually online. Read paper books. Meditate. Go sit outside. Go for walks daily. Take care of yourself. Block out the noise so that you can be useful and not used up. 2025 will require much of each of us. Don’t waste these last few precious weeks before chaos strikes.

Amazon has now backed out of this project after sustained community opposition.

But this fight isn't over, and another tech giant could try to step into Amazon's place.
Tucson residents fought back against Amazon’s secretive plans to build a data center in the desert — and won.

But now, in a blatant attempt to override the City Council and the will of the people, Amazon and the project’s developer is pushing ahead anyway.

Or…trying to.

Keep calling it out.
What's Trump gaining by blowing up boats in the Caribbean?

It's the same as the deportations: first criminals, then undocumented, next revoke documentation, then naturalization, now anyone "not compatible"... Next?

He's preparing Americans to accept using the military to blow up domestic targets

Aaaaaand…this is exactly why the six lawmakers needed to remind servicemembers about not obeying unlawful orders (this will get driven home when Hegseth gets a pardon but no one else does)
NYT:
Five officials told us that Hegseth had nothing to do with the second strike

Washpost (which broke the story 2 days ago):
“This is ‘protect Pete’ bullshit,”
and
“It’s throwing us, the service members, under the bus.”

“Move, bitch (gender neutral), get out the way,
Get out the way, bitch (gender neutral), get out the way”
For some reason Democratic leaders seem to prefer telling voters what they won’t be able to do, rather than what they’d like to do.

If Hegseth ordered a war crime and lied about it, shouldn’t Ds try for impeachment? Put Rs on the spot. They might get a few defections.

As someone who has had multiple MRIs, competent doctors don’t send you in for an MRI like it’s a blood pressure test.

These are very expensive magnet machines! Spinning one up is expensive! They have a reason for sending you there! Nothing this administration says is true!

You don’t do MRIs on a whim.

What is happening in Indiana is a profound threat to our democracy.

Trump has unleashed a vote-my-way-or-risk-your-life climate on Republican legislators that makes democracy near impossible.

For starters, all of us should be flooding these legislators with thanks and support for braving this.
“.. I believe these threats are a result of the redistricting pressure on Indiana," state Sen. Jean Leising said Monday in a statement, saying that she was the target of a pipe bomb threat over the weekend.

When something that doesn’t exist gets done anyway, it’s reasonable to ask: what was the real reason? 🤔
