Sarah McBride apparently lobbied GOP lawmakers to oppose the anti-trans bills this week and played a role in getting multiple to flip against their party and vote “no”

CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

So exhausted by this craven stenographic journalism.

It's still the DoD.
It's still the Kennedy Center.

ESPECIALLY when it comes to names on things, Trump has no magic "he'll just do it anyway" power, because WE ARE THE ONES WHO USE THE NAMES.
You guys. No. It's named by statute. Do better.

The only way you can still pretend that Reagan was good is if you believe in his policies or don’t believe in anything at all. Either one is disqualifying.
The presidency once served as a reminder of our common humanity. Ronald Reagan described its purpose as building "a nation composed of good and decent people."

AOC: I want to remind you where the real crime is. It's in the oligarchs taking $170 billion of our money from health care and food assistance and public programs and taking that and funneling it into a secret police program.

This also happened during Trump’s first term. That 2024 dip? That’s when Democrats went on the defensive, and let Trump and MAGA dictate the immigration narrative.

Why, it’s almost as if political leadership (good and bad) can actually drive public opinion, instead of always following it.
This is extremely important

Here are the 28 Dem Senators who voted to advance the first federal ban on trans athletes & a federal definition of sex that would make trans & intersex people non-existent: Angela Alsobrooks (MD), Tammy Baldwin (WI), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Lisa Blunt Rochester (DE), Chris Coons (DE), ->
By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. (Rand Paul probably voted nay and Steve Daines has been absent).

Weak from Menin. She called for stripping citizenship from and deporting hundreds of thousands of NYC Muslims, the Council should use every sanction within its power against her
Paladino should be expelled from the Council, not given a fake-stern talking to. If Menin fails this test, she isn’t up for being Speaker.

Vickie Paladino is an unhinged bigot townie dimwit who's been going things like this for years.

If Julie Menin wants to open the next council session by being soft on bigotry, it might actually be good for progressives, because we can keep rubbing her nose in her own spineless opportunism.

If Paladino had said that Jews amounted to a fifth column and should be removed from the country, Menin would be one of many in elected office calling for her to be expelled from the Council. That it was about Muslims is just as heinous, yet all we get is this lukewarm response.
